What does it take to get your technology out of the lab and into the real world? Find out at our first ever NYU Life Science Startup Bootcamp!
The NYU Life Science Startup Bootcamp is a new initiative to introduce NYU faculty, graduate students, and research staff to the basic activities associated with commercializing life science research via the creation of a startup venture. The Bootcamp consists of a series of five 90-minute seminars (plus one optional workshop) over the course of several weeks starting Monday, March 12, 2012. Each session includes one or more featured speaker(s), followed by an hour of networking, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, courtesy of our sponsors Wiggin and Dana and EisnerAmper. The Bootcamp is geared towards scientists already contemplating their own startup, as well as those simply interested in learning about the process.

All events unless otherwise noted below will be held in the Smilow Seminar Room of the Smilow Research Center at NYU Langone Medical Center, from 5:30-8:00pm.

- June 4: (Optional) Business Plan Workshop
The Bootcamp program is free for all and only open to current NYU faculty, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, and research staff. A commitment to attend all sessions is required for signup, though the last (June 4) workshop is optional. You must have a current nyu.edu, nyumc.org or poly.edu email address to sign up.
